Resources For Teens

Developing Teen Leaders

Regardless of income, race or neighborhood, boys and girls are less likely to become teen parents when they:

•           Have positive, meaningful connections with trustworthy adults

•           Make a clear plan for their lives that does not include pregnancy during the teen years

•           Enjoy a sense of belonging

•           Experience school success from an early age

•           Get the health care they need

•           Spend time with their friends in places where they have adult supervision and feel safe

•           Learn about healthy relationships and pregnancy prevention

DC Campaign believes that teens are the experts on their own lives. Our interactive programs provide information and build advocacy skills for teens so that they can join the fight to cut the city’s teen pregnancy rate in half.  For information on how to hold a Teen Town Hall Meeting in your community, please contact fill out the form below.
